poem quickies

More quickies, one on death and the other on love, or sex. Death and sex go well together, I guess.

The one on death is excerpted from a slightly longer poem. Poet of the day is Emily Dickinson.

1st one.

Because I could not stop for Death -
He kindly stopped for me -
The carriage held but just Ourselves -
And Immortality.

2nd one. Lots of !!!!!!

Wild Nights – Wild Nights!
Were I with thee
Wild Nights should be
Our luxury!

Futile – the Winds -
To a heart In port -
Done with the Compass -
Done with the Chart!

Rowing in Eden -
Ah, the Sea!
Might I but moor – Tonight -
In Thee!
