Papa seems to be running into the topic of China with its myriad permutations all over the place.
Papa met yesterday a bunch of people from the Malaysian China Friends Association, ( Papa thinks thats what Papa met, but Papa has got to check the calling cards) who gave Papa a briefing of sorts on the Chinese economy. They seem to have the impression that Papa's group of associates can raise USD1b....or rather talk was bandied about for a China fund of that size.
Woooo....
They hope to raise a portion of that in Malaysia. Papa has got no comment on that, but Papa did get to find out some interesting statistics about the Chinese economy. When the figure for a company 's assets is around 900,000 million RMB , it kind of sticks in one's head.
